As one the high-profile ministries of Iran, the Ministry of Energy has developed
comprehensive plans in line with the macro-policies of the Islamic Republic
of Iran to attain industrial self-sufficiency and modern technology in the
electrical industries.
Forming part of these plans was the manufacture of hydroelectric and thermal
generators, which was initiated in 1995. Feasibility studies went under way,
which were accompanied by the equipment of the workshops and procurement of
the machinery required by the generator industry. Ultimately,
‘Fardis
Power Plant Generators Manufacturing Company
was set up in 1998 at a
site covering 11 hectares.
Enjoying a skilled work-force of 850 who have received training in Germany,
Austria, Brazil and Italy and backed by great potential and capabilities,
Fardis is currently handling numerous projects.
Pursuant to new policies,Pars Generator Company (ex-Fardis) was
separated from Iran Power Plant Industries Development Co. and became an
independent company. It was incorporated on Jan. 20, 1999 with Karaj County
Office of Company and Industrial Property Registration.
Again company name was changed to
Mapna Generator Engineering & Manufacturing Co. (Pars) since years 2005

The
general objective sought by the setup of Mapna Generator was the
manufacture of thermal and hydroelectric generators. Nevertheless, taking
into account the contract signed with Ansaldo, priority has been given to
manufacturing gas generators.
Mapna Generator
benefits from the cooperation of international generator manufacturers such
as Siemens, Ellin, Anslado, General Electric and Alsthom toward the progress
of its projects. |
